So I’ve been working on it together with a fellow named Tom Armitage in London. He’s a Web thinker, designer and maker, super smart, and we thought we’d try out this RSS-I idea to see if it actually works. That’s his blog there, at infovore.org.

What he came up with is very much a proof of concept and the result of just a few days hacking. But the rough edges are ones I’ve introduced when I was playing with the code on the plane on the way over.

It’s called ‘Dentrassi’, which is the name Tom picked because it has the letters r, s, s and i in the correct order. I like the way he thinks.

And rather than talking, it’s probably easier for me to show you what it is.

This presentation puts forward 'movement' as a metaphor for the Web, introduces the motivations flowchart design process, and demonstrates Snap, a way of syndicating interactions from websites to the desktop. It is called Movement and was originally delivered in February 2008 at Web Directions North 2008 in Vancouver.
