Products Are People Too

Jack Schulze, my business partner, is a designer. These sketches on the slides are from his reboot notebook, made during this conference.

I, however, am not a designer.

I have a design consultancy and sometimes my activity is one of design. But to be honest, I don’t know what a designer is. I can point to a few and say ‘these people are some of my favourite designers!’ but I couldn’t detail design to you.

Likewise, today, I’m going to describe a trend as I see it, and point the way towards a response. I’m not going to detail it, just talk about it.

This is my third reboot, and what I find most valuable about this conference are the people in the room. So really I suppose I’m taking advantage of everyone here. I’m floating an idea because I know I’ll get insights a hundred times back in conversations with people afterwards. Thanks for listening while I indulge myself.
