The Experience Stack

L is for Levittown, a new town built on Long Island in the US in the late 1940s and the 1950s.
In a way, it’s the archetypal small town. What made it possible – and cheap – was the use of assembly line processes in producing houses. The materials were cheap, the labour unskilled, but the design good.
This is an aerial view.
