Well you might get something like this.
This is Andy Stanford-Clark’s house, Andy_house, which was an experiment by a researcher at IBM in the UK last year hooking bits of his house up to Twitter. So not only does it say how much water the house uses, or when the phone rings… but when he misses a call, his house also sends him a private message of the number that tried to call, so he can call back.
Is it silly? Yes it is a bit. But it seems natural that my house is a collection of appliances and things, a staff working on my behalf, and if something important happens then they’ll let me know.
