While we’re on a space theme, this badge is from Stewart Brand in 1966: why haven’t we seen a photo of the whole Earth yet?

When he talked about why he came up with this campaign, he said

“people act as if the earth is flat, when in reality it is spherical and extremely finite, and until we learn to treat it as a finite thing, we will never get civilization right.”
