There’s a well-known quirk of biology that happened with domesticated dogs. Younger animals are cuter and more playful than mature animals. They have big eyes, and needy natures. And so as we domesticated wolves, we bred them gradually into cute baby wolves, and now that’s what we’ve got.
The same has happened to toys. Cute toys apparently sell better. So this is what’s happened to My Little Pony.
