Okay, that’s the “big maths” way of being intelligent. There’s another way, which is you cheat. You think there’s some kind of magical wizard of artificial intelligence happening… but just like in the Wizard of Oz, there’s a man behind the curtain.
This picture, by the way, is the Turk, a chess playing robot from the late 1700s. That figure at the back is a robot artificial intelligence that can beat almost anyone at chess.
Except… it’s not actually an artificial intelligence.
