I was talking a friend, Justin Hall, and he was telling me about how, before he starts a talk, he sees how long he can just stand and smile and look at the audience.

I wanted to experience it for myself.

I’m not sure I like it. It freaks me out. It probably freaks you out.

For reference, it’s a bit like staring down an angry dog.

Or a bear.

Or perhaps a rhinoceros.

So let’s move on and get started.


I’m Matt Webb. I have a company called Schulze & Webb. The other guy’s name is Schulze. We spent a while trying to thinking of a gag name, but I think the best gag is that I go to conferences and people think I’m from a firm of lawyers.
