What you’re watching here is a smartphone app called Google Googles. Google Googles is a visual search app. This person is showing off a single feature, which is solving Sudoku puzzles.
First the user points the camera phone at the puzzle. Here the puzzle is on the screen, but it could be in the newspaper. So then the user says, yes, this is what I want to look at, and the system analyses it. This takes some time.
Okay, it’s a Sudoku puzzle. Google Goggles then reads the numbers, and gives the option to solve the puzzle, which is then does.
